Master violinist to lead Iraqi Folk Fusion band

THE Iraqi Folk Fusion Ensemble, consisting of acclaimed musicians of newly-established cultural group, The Australian Arab Music Centre (TAAMC), at Yagoona, will be performing at Bankstown Arts Centre as part of Soundlands.

Soundlands is a series of art music concerts highlighting culturally diverse musicians and music from Bankstown and beyond.
The ensemble, which will be led by master violinist and former member of the Baghdad Symphony Orchestra, Imad Rahem (pictured), brings the folkloric into the present.
The concert will be held on Sunday, September 29, from 5pm and will be followed by a 20-minute question and answer session with the artist.
Tickets: $15, adults; $10, concession.
