Thousands flock in to Children Festival

MORE than 2,000 converged on Abel Reserve, Revesby, on Saturday to celebrate the return of the Canterbury Bankstown Children’s Festival.

Young people, representing communities all over the world including Ukraine and Russia, offered a colourful feast of entertainment (pictured), a spectacular parade featuring beautiful traditional costumes, outdoor games and delicious cuisines.
“The Children’s Festival is a showcase of how Australia is the most successful multicultural country on earth where youth of all backgrounds grow up as citizens of the world,” Festival Founding President Thuat Nguyen said.
