“I thank all those who donate equipment, particularly Bankstown Sports Club who have covered the substantial cost of shipping every container.
“We are grateful to President John Murray and his fellow Directors and Acting CEO Michael Clancy as this program would not exist and could not continue without Bankstown Sports Club’s continuing support.”
Uganda Cricket Association CEO Alan Magume was excited to hear about the latest shipment.
“Having gear and clothing to use in equipping our national, regional and club teams and being able to supply kits to schools has seen our participation Increase from just over 10,000 in 2006 to in excess of 60,000 today; a very exciting outcome,” he said.
“We are most grateful to the generous people of Australia for supporting this program and the Bankstown Cricket Club who are now famous in Uganda for what they do for us through the Uganda Equipment project as well as for being the club that fostered the mighty Waugh twins.”
