Joined by Cr Paul Garrard (left), Cumberland Mayor Steve Christou took his own dog ‘Lucious’ to inspect work on the upgrades which includes a new fence, access gates, a path and waste bin.
“I love dogs and think it’s important for our four-legged friends to be exercised and socialised regularly and provided with a designated space to run and play,” Cr Christou said.
“At the council, we’re all about creating and improving recreational space, so I’m delighted that that we can create this off-leash area in South Granville.
“I am happy that we have been able to deliver this dog park for our local residents.”
