Man charged over string of robberies

A WOMAN, 20, who was robbed while handling cash at a pharmacy on Auburn Road, Auburn, was one of a string of robberies over 11 days.

A 39-year-old man was charged with three counts of robbery armed with offensive weapon, aggravated robbery, robbery while armed with dangerous weapon, and aggravated robbery.
Other alleged robberies occurred at Chester Hill, Mortdale, Ryde and Revesby, between October 31 and November 10, with several occurring as money was being withdrawn from ATMs. It’s alleged the man was armed on five occasions.
During the arrest at Riverwood, police also located and seized a white Subaru Impreza, believed to have been used in some of the robberies.
