ONE of Sydney’s best and most beloved food festivals, Bankstown Bites is returning to delight foodies and amateur chefs alike, with a tantalising, drool-worthy variety of food as well as fantastic entertainment for all ages.
It’s no secret our City is a melting pot of international cuisine and Bankstown Bites promises to be an “explosion” of unique food when it returns later this month.
Bankstown Bites will be held on Saturday, July 30, 10am-5pm, and feature Olympic Parade hosting 24 food stalls and a range of activities to enjoy at Griffith Park and Bankstown Arts Centre.
Indulge in fine cuisine from a huge variety of food stalls, including Filipino, Indian, Turkish, Asian, Japanese, Mexican, Spanish, Portuguese, Egyptian, Italian and Thai … just to name a few.
Special guests celebrity chef Adrian Richardson from Good Chef Bad Chef, along with Masterchef ‘fans and favourites’ contestant Alvin Quah, will provide cooking demonstrations.
Alvin will teach you how to cook your own signature dish and you can join him for a ‘meet and greet’.
Excited to be in Bankstown, Alvin says it is one of the most important places in Australia when it comes to food.
“Bankstown is such an amazing place. It’s incredibly vibrant with so many different cultures and cuisines,” he said.
“If you want to really experience someone’s culture, the easiest way to do it without having to travel to their country, is to eat their food. Bankstown really has it all.”
The food festival will include Singing Chefs, free face painting, carnival rides, ‘kids in the kitchen’ activities, BBQ cooking school, Bankstown Arts Centre Open Day, performances by TAP (Talent Advancement Program) students, food tours and much more.
