Sky’s limit for all little athletes

HOME to World High Jump Champion Eleanor Patterson, World Championship 1500m finalist Jessica Hull and World Championships 3000m steeplechase representative Edward Trippas, the Bankstown Sports Athletics Club (BSAC) is ready to develop future stars and invites families to register for the 2022-23 Little Athletics season.

Aiming to provide a fun experience in a family-friendly environment and with the season starting this Friday, September 2, the club caters for athletes starting at four years (Tint Tots) through to Under 17s.
Located at The Crest Athletics Complex in McClean St, Bass Hill, the on-site facilities include a multi-million-dollar all-weather, synthetic track, covered grandstands, canteen and barbecue facilities and ample parking.
There is also a fully equipped, strength and conditioning gym as well as a separate rehabilitation and recovery gym, which members may access.
Trial dates will be on September 2 and 9, commencing at 5.45pm for any families who wish to come along and see what the club has to offer.
Registrations for the trial dates are not required, with the formal competition getting underway on Friday, September 16. The season will conclude in mid-March 2023.
Bankstown Sports Athletics Club President Colin Whitbread says BSAC is one of the largest and most successful athletics clubs in NSW and caters for beginners and Olympians alike.
“We cater for members of the athletics community for their entire journey through sport,” he said.
“Little Athletics is a strong foundation into other sports because it teaches all the basic sports skills.”
Season fees are $110 for Tiny Tots and $150 for all other age groups.
NSW State Government vouchers may be used as part of the registration process.
Registrations can only be done via lansw.com.au.
