Tournament Day to raise disaster funds

WITH half of their players grieving for lost or missing family members after the devastating earthquakes in Turkiye and Syria, Auburn FC is hosting a special family tournament day to raise funds to help this Saturday.

With all the action kicking off at 10am-5pm, at their Webbs Avenue playing fields in Auburn, families can buy a great selection of food and drinks and enjoy the jumping castle, face painting, a martial arts show and raffles with all proceeds going to help those impacted by the disaster.
Auburn FC President Vahit Orker says many have already made a donation but the club, as a whole, wanted to do something to help.
“There are thousands and thousands of people who have been displaced and others who have lost loved ones and all of their worldly possessions,” he said.
“The tournament day this Saturday (March 4) will be a lot of fun and it’s a great opportunity for families, individuals and other clubs to come along and show their support and make a donation no matter how great or small.”
The tournament will include: Auburn FC MiniRoos U10s v Auburn FC U9s at 10am; Auburn FC U13s v International Maarif Schools of Australia U13s at 11am; Auburn FC Black v Auburn FC O45s White at 1pm; Auburns FC’s O35s v Dolls Point Premier League Reserve Grade at 1pm; Auburn FC X-League 2 v Dolls Point Premier League at 1pm; and Auburn FC X League 2 v Revesby Rovers FC at 3.20.
